Upcoming Singer, Wisekid, Called Out After Reportedly Copyrighting Wizkid’s Songs
An upcoming singer identified as Wisekid has been called out on social media for copyrighting Wizkid’s songs and was allegedly making 30 Million Naira monthly from the resulting streams.
Wisekid who’s impersonating Nigerian superstar, Wizkid has been hitting the jackpot from copying Wizkid’s music on Apple Music and Amazon.
According to AfricasFactZonewho first shared the news on Twitter about the artist wrote;
“An Artist named Wisekid has been making N30 million monthly since October 2020 by copying Wizkid’s music on Apple Music & Amazon.
“Wisekid earns $73,170 (N30 million) monthly from copying Wizkid’s music
Wisekid went as far as copying Wizkid’s social media usernames. He used the handle, Wisekidaya on Instagram and Twitter. He has deactivated his Twitter account and has just changed his Instagram handle to Ayaboyofficial.”
