The Global Peace Index (GPI) ranks countries based on their levels of peacefulness. The GPI is a report created by the Institute for Economics & Peace that ranks 163 independent states and territories. The main aim of the GPI is to find the most peaceful countries in the world.

Top 10 peaceful countries in the world

Iceland

Iceland is a peaceful and attractive country located in the North Atlantic Ocean. Famous for its stunning natural landscapes and progressive social policies, Iceland has been the most peaceful country since 2008. Iceland doesn’t rely on its small coast guard or international agreements for security.

Denmark

Denmark is known for its rich history, best economy, and commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation. It ranks among the top peaceful countries in the world. The population is primarily Danish, and other cultural communities include German, Romanian, Polish, Turkish, and Iraqi individuals.

Ireland

Ireland is known for its sovereignty and respect for political and constitutional rights. However, it was politically unstable and aggressive during the Northern Ireland conflict.
