Sean “Diddy” Combs Denied Bail Again Amid Racketeering and Witness Tampering Allegations
Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs faces serious legal challenges, including racketeering and sex trafficking charges. A judge denies bail over concerns about witness tampering and public safety.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, renowned music entrepreneur, has been denied bail for the third time as he faces charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. US District Judge Arun Subramanian ruled that Combs’s release posed significant risks to public safety and the judicial process, citing allegations of witness tampering.
Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, is accused of operating a criminal enterprise involving forced labor, intimidation, and coercion. Prosecutors have presented evidence claiming he misused jail communications to influence witnesses and orchestrate public support, including a controversial video featuring his children.
Defense attorneys argued that Combs’s detention hampers trial preparations, challenging the legality of a recent search of his jail cell. The court rejected a $50 million bail package that proposed house arrest and strict restrictions.
With additional civil lawsuits alleging abuse, coercion, and blackmail—including cases involving underage victims—Combs remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as prosecutors investigate further charges. He continues to maintain his innocence.
