Kanye West Sues Walmart For Ripping Off Yeezy’s Footwear
Hip Hop legend Kanye West is suing Walmart for allegedly selling a ‘fake’ version of a well-known Yeezy footwear.
According to the court documents, Kanye West and and his company Yeezy are are suing the retail company for allegedly making a fake version of the popular Yeezy Foam Runner shoes leaving customers confused on whether they are buying the original products or not.
Kanye West and Yeezy stated in the court documents that these actions by Walmart have made the company lose thousands of millions of dollars and a lot more if the retail company continues to do that.
Kanye and Yeezy claims Walmart then made an “unauthorized exact copy” of the footwear and has been selling it on their site at just under $25 a pair, cashing in on the popularity of Kanye and the Foam Runner.
Kanye’s team claimed they sent a legal warning to the retail company to pull off the sells of the shoes from their site but till date, the company has failed to do so hence the decision to sue them for major damages.
Walmart is one of the biggest American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores from the United States.
The company was once hit with these same allegations when they started selling fake ‘4PF’ chain, a brand by rapper Lil Baby to their customers.
