I inspired Burna Boy, he can’t deny it – Skales
Skales claims he inspired Burna Boy’s early career before their Temper Remix collaboration, sparking discussions on mutual influence in music.
Nigerian music star Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales, has stirred conversation with his recent claim that he played a pivotal role in inspiring Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy at a certain stage in his career.
In an interview with Naija FM, Lagos, Skales reflected on their 2017 collaboration on Temper Remix, asserting that, at the time, Burna Boy had yet to achieve a major hit.
“Burna Boy had no hot song before I featured him on Temper Remix. It was after our collaboration that he started excelling. I’m not trying to take credit for his success, but I believe I inspired him at a point, too,” Skales remarked.
He went on to emphasize the mutual essence of collaboration in the music industry, explaining that they have both admired and inspired each other over the years. His comments have sparked mixed reactions, reigniting debates on the role of collaborations in shaping careers.
