E News has been canceled on air after 29 years of operation. The entertainment show which first premiered back in September 1991 was called off by the management.
It was confirmed by a representative of the network to EW the show was canceled. Unfortunately, it was cancelled along side “Pop of the Morning” and Jason Kennedy’s interview show “In the Room” due to the financial side effect of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The announcement E! News being canceled came shortly after NBCUniversal, the parent company of E! and subsidiary of Comcast Corporation, shared plans to rearrange its programming with an emphasis to “focus on streaming and away from traditional television.”
Lilliana Vazquez and Scott Tweedie, both well-respected and experienced television presenters served as the most recent hosts for “E! News,” covering the biggest news in pop culture, entertainment and lifestyle and some of the most renowned parties and events in the entertainment industry.
Lilliana Vazquez addressed the cancellation of the show with a post on her official Instagram account @lillianavazquez on Wednesday.
“Thankful for this incredible adventure and I will miss this team and crew beyond belief,” she wrote as a caption to a picture taken at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City, New York.
