The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL), an umbrella organization representing youth groups across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, has officially endorsed Seyi Tinubu for the Lagos State governorship in the 2027 elections.
In a statement released on Tuesday in Owerri, CONYL leaders, including President General Goodluck Ibem, Secretary Junard Abubakar, Public Relations Officer Iniobong Sampson, and Publicity Secretary Adeyemo Adewale, announced their resolution. The endorsement followed an extensive review of the leadership legacy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos State governor and their belief in Seyi Tinubu’s potential to further elevate the state.
The group highlighted Seyi Tinubu’s qualifications, leadership skills, and innovative ideas, positioning him as a youth capable of leading Lagos to new heights. They also called on President Tinubu to support his son’s bid, emphasizing the importance of youth representation in leadership.
The statement read, “Seyi Tinubu is experienced, talented, and capable of leading Lagos State to the promised land in 2027.”
