Burna Boy has been named the biggest Nigerian artist on Apple Music. Discover the top 10 most-streamed Nigerian artists and songs in celebration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
Grammy Award-winning artist Damini Ogulu, famously known as Burna Boy, has cemented his legacy as the greatest Nigerian artist on Apple Music. In honor of Nigeria's 64th Independence Day celebration, Apple Music unveiled its list of the top 10 most streamed Nigerian artists and songs, with Burna Boy reigning supreme at number one. He’s closely followed by music giants Wizkid, Davido, Rema, and Asake.
Rounding out the top 10 are Tems, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, BNXN, and Olamide—further proving the unstoppable global rise of Nigerian talent.
On the list of most-streamed Nigerian songs, Rema's viral hit “Calm Down” remix with Selena Gomez took the crown, followed by Burna Boy’s "Last Last" and Wizkid’s “Essence” featuring Tems. Tems’ breakout track “Free Mind” holds the fourth spot, with Burna Boy's iconic anthem "Ye" securing number five. Other chart-toppers include “Location” by Dave and Burna Boy, Rema’s original version of “Calm Down,” Ayra Starr’s “Rush,” Burna Boy's “On the Low,” and Wizkid's “Come Closer” featuring Drake.
Apple Music also celebrated Nigeria’s cultural diversity by highlighting nine standout Afrobeats stars from various cities: 2Baba (Jos), Omah Lay (Port Harcourt), Odumodublvck (Abuja), Shallipopi (Benin City), Seyi Vibez (Lagos), Jeriq (Enugu), Bloody Civilian (Abuja), and Qing Madi (Benin City), showcasing the country’s rich and multifaceted music scene.
