A massive explosion occurred in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon on Tuesday, August 4 2020.

The blast which occurred in the afternoon caused a very strong disruption as it shook many parts of the capital city.

Red Cross has reported that so far, 10 people have been found dead and hundreds of people injured with thousands of property damaged.

According to the Local TV stations, the explosion was at Beirut’s port inside an area where firecrackers were stored, while an Associated Press photographer near Beirut’s port said he witnessed people wounded on the ground and widespread destruction in central Beirut.
