Renowned Canadian stage actor Julian Arnold has tragically passed away at the age of 60. Arnold reportedly suffered a medical emergency while performing in A Christmas Carol at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Despite immediate medical intervention, including multiple resuscitation attempts, Alberta Health Services confirmed that the actor was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a heartfelt joint statement, Jessie van Rijn, the Citadel Theatre’s executive director, and Daryl Cloran, the artistic director, paid tribute to Arnold’s legacy. “His presence brought joy, heart, and depth to every role. His artistic contributions will be deeply missed.”
