Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez will soon extend his contract with Inter until June 2026. The agreement is at final stages and set to be signed – increased salary after turning down Tottenham and Atletico Madrid proposals.
According to the Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, that report that a verbal
agreement has been reached and the club after a brief meeting with his agent yesterday.
The Nerazzurri have made securing Martinez’s future a priority in the last weeks, with the club wanting to make
sure that he does not depart after having already lost the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku over the summer.
The striker’s current deal runs until the end of June 2023, and the club have successfully convinced him on a new contract that will take him until the summer of 2026 and ward of the interest of top European clubs.
Lautaro Martinez is set to earn a net of €6 million plus an additional €500,000 in add-ons on his new contract.
