In 2020 he extended his contract with Arsenal and his weekly salary increased from £ 198,000 per week to £ 350,000, making him not only the highest paid African footballer but also the highest paid player in Arsenal.
2. Cedric Bukambu(Benijing Guoan) – £ 307,000
Cedric Bukambu joined Chinese SuperLeague team Beijing Guoan last year in January from Villarreal for £ 65million, making him one of the Africa’s most expensive footballer.
The Democratic Republic of Congo international earns £ 307,000 a week and is the third highest paid player in the Chinese Super League, with only the Brazilian duo of Oscar and Hulk making more each week.
3. Thomas Partey (Arsenal) – £ 230,000
The Ghanaian joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2020, signing a four-year contract with an option to extend the contract. His weekly salary is over £ 200,000.
4. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – £ 200,000
The Liverpool and Egypt forward has been one of the best players in the world lately.
After an excellent first season with Liverpool where he scored 43 goals for the Reds, he extended his contract where he would earn £ 200,000 a week.
5. Riyad Mahrez ( Manchester City) – £ 200,000
The Algerian joined Manchester City from Leicester City, signing a 5-year contract. The midfielder has been one of the best players one continent for quite some time.
6. Sadio Mane(Liverpool) – £ 150,000.
Sadio Mane is without doubt one of the best players on the continent at the moment.
He recently extended his contract with Liverpool, earning him £ 150,000 a week.
Mane has previously played for Southampton and Red Bull Salzburg.
7.Nicolas Pepe(Arsenal) – £ 140,000
The 24-year-old is the 4th highest paid player in Arsenals, behind Ozil, Pierre Emrick Aubameyang and at the level of Alexandre Lacazette.
8. Wilfried Zaha(Crystal Palace) – £ 130,000
The Crystal Palace forward was born in Ivory Coast but raised in England. He has represented Côte d’Ivoire since 2017 after changing allegiance.
Zaha has been an important player for Crystal Palace since returning from the Man United club and recently signed a new long-term contract.

10. Odion Ighalo (Al-Shabab) – £49,000
Odion Ighalo came into the limelight when he was signed by Manchester United in 2020. Before that, the 31-year-old Nigerian was playing for Shanghai Shenhua in China. Even though he was signed as a backup striker, he had a short stint of 6 months and was later transferred to Saudi Arabian side Al – Shabab where he earns around £49,000 weekly.
