Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is set to make his 150th Premier League appearance for Leicester City as they face the defending Premier League champions Manchester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The Nigerian midfielder joined the Foxes squad on Friday after his appearance for the Eagles in their 2-0 win over Liberia in a Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier last week, moved to the Premier League club from Belgian outfit Genk for a reported £15m.
He made his EPL debut in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea on January 14, 2017.
In his first season, the Eagles star topped the tacklers’ chart with 138 successes and he was named as Leicester City’s Young Player of the Year for the season.
He repeated that feat the following season after garnering 144 tackles ahead of Idrissa Gueye (143) and Wan-Bissaka (128) – making history by becoming the first African player to lead the top of tackle charts for two consecutive seasons.
Wilfred Ndidi was named the club’s Young Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018 and he svored seven goals, made nine assists, recording 67 wins, 52 losses and 30 draws.
