Grammy-Award-Winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” album has spent half a year and still counting on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album has spent a record-extending half a year on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
Obviously, it’s been a decade since Wizkid surfaced in the Nigeria music scene, and yet consciously binding his name into afrobeat history with made in Lagos album.
‘Made in Lagos‘ album has spent a record-extending 27th week on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
The album, released in October last year, climbed a spot from twelfth to the eleventh spot for a 27th week, making it the longest-charting African album this decade.
However, it also has now spent 200 days on both the Worldwide Apple Music Albums and the European Apple Music Albums chart, becoming the longest-charting African Album on both charts this Decade!
Essence featuring fellow Nigerian songstress Tems, off the album also found its way to the Billboard’s world digital song sales after 6months of release.
And now has spent 4 weeks on the chart so far, becoming the longest-charting Nigerian song on the chart this decade.
