A 7-year-old Nigerian boy, Folajomi featured on Beyoncé’s Black Is King has caught the attention of many. The Young Nigerian boy goes by the name Akinmurele “FJ” Folajomi featured on Beyoncé’s latest album and starred a role in Black Is King— now streaming on Disney Plus.
According to sources, Akinmurele first featured in Beyoncé’s 2019 music video. With his first impression, it seems the award-winning singer had no choice but to sought him out for her latest album.
On his Instagram bio, the youngster described himself as ‘a kid who loves to act, loves sports and video games!. In another post, shows a list of those featured on the Black Is King Album.
After starring as a young Simba who is driven out of his home by Scar and must go on a journey of self-discovery, the star potential of the 7-year-old actor, Akinmurele “FJ” Folajom, is already clear. Here’s what you need to know about the “Black Is King” breakout:
When there is no sound, the only thing that takes over is the visuals in Black is King. The conversation of Black is King cannot be complete without mentioning the beautiful landscapes, color, costume and multiple shots of Akinmurele in which he captures the attention of everyone. Akinmurele embodies the spirit of a young Simba at the start of his journey. His raw talent is evident in “Don’t Jealous Me” but even more so in the vibrant rendition of “Mood 4 Eva,” which sees him wearing the same clothes as Jay-Z while confidently rapping the lyrics.
